Ingredients:
• 1/2 cup semolina
• 3/4 cup plain flour
• 2 eggs
• 1/2 tbsp Ghee
• 1/4 tbsp Curd
• 1/2 tsp vanilla essence
• 1/4 tsp Nutmeg powder
• 1 tsp Cardamom powder
• 5-6 strands of Saffron soaked in 1 tsp warm Milk
• 1/4 cup grounded Almonds
• 2 tbsp finely chopped Pistachios
• 1/2 tsp baking powder
• Oil for deep frying
Method:
- Sift the flours into a bowl, mix with ghee and sugar.
- Beat it well till the sugar melts.
- Add the eggs one by one, continuously beating till light.
- Add all the remaining ingredients and make a smooth dough.
- Cover and keep aside for 4-5 hours.
- Dust a rolling board with plain flour.
- Roll out the dough to approx 1/4-inch thickness.
- Cut into small rounds with a round mould or cookie cutter.
- Gather up the remaining dough, roll out again and cut out more rounds.
- Heat oil and deep fry the rounds till golden brown
- Cool and store in an airtight container.
