Ingredients:

• 1/2 cup semolina
• 3/4 cup plain flour
• 2 eggs
• 1/2 tbsp Ghee
• 1/4 tbsp Curd
• 1/2 tsp vanilla essence
• 1/4 tsp Nutmeg powder
• 1 tsp Cardamom powder
• 5-6 strands of Saffron soaked in 1 tsp warm Milk
• 1/4 cup grounded Almonds
• 2 tbsp finely chopped Pistachios
• 1/2 tsp baking powder
• Oil for deep frying

Method:

  1. Sift the flours into a bowl, mix with ghee and sugar.
  2. Beat it well till the sugar melts.
  3. Add the eggs one by one, continuously beating till light.
  4. Add all the remaining ingredients and make a smooth dough.
  5. Cover and keep aside for 4-5 hours.
  6. Dust a rolling board with plain flour.
  7. Roll out the dough to approx 1/4-inch thickness.
  8. Cut into small rounds with a round mould or cookie cutter.
  9. Gather up the remaining dough, roll out again and cut out more rounds.
  10. Heat oil and deep fry the rounds till golden brown
  11. Cool and store in an airtight container.
