
Ingredients:
• 200 gm Ridge gourd
• 2 medium size Tomatoes
• 3 medium Onions
• 1 tbsp Tamarind pulp
• 1 tbsp Blackgram
• 1/4 tsp Fenugreek seeds
• 5 Red Chillies
• 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
• 1 tbsp Oil
• Salt to taste
• Seasoning
• 1 tbsp Oil
• 1/2 tsp Mustard Seeds
• A pinch of Asafoetida
• 1 bunch green Coriander
Method:
- Peel the skin of ridge gourd and cut into 1 inch cubes. Cut tomatoes and onions into big chunks.
- Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan, add the vegetables and cover with a lid. Cook on a slow flame for 5 minutes.
- Roast blackgram, fenugreek seeds and redchillies in little oil.
- In a blender first crush roasted ingredients. To it add cooked vegetables, tamarind pulp, green coriander (washed) salt and turmeric powder. Blend for 2 minutes.
