Ingredients:

• 1 – tender Snake gourd
• 1/4 – coconut, ground
• 5-6 – Green chillies
• 2 – Cloves
• 2 inch – Cinnamon
• 1 tsp – Urad Dal
• 1 – Red Chilli
• 1/2 tsp – Jeera
• 1/2 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• Curry leaves
• Salt
• Oil

Method:

  1. Cut snake gourd into 3/4 inch pieces.
  2. Mix it with a little salt and after keeping for a while, squeeze out the water.
  3. Heat 2 tsps oil in a kadai and add urad dal, jeera and mustard seeds and red chilli.
  4. Once dal becomes slightly red put curry leaves and snake gourd pieces.
  5. Place a lid on top and cook for 5 minutes.
  6. Make powder with cloves, cinnamon, green chillies, coconut.
  7. Add this mixture into the snake gourd and continue cooking for another 5 to 10 minutes on slow fire without the lid.
  8. Serve the curry with rice.
