Ingredients:

• Chicken joints – 500 gm
• water 1 litre
• Tomato – 1/2 cup, finely chopped
• salt and pepper to taste
• Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
• coriander powder – 1 tsp
• Vinegar – 2 tsp
• oil – 3 tbsp
• Onion – 1/2 cup, finely chopped
• Garlic – 1 tsp, minced
• Ginger – 1 tsp, minced

Method:

  1. Combine the chicken joints with water, tomato, salt and pepper.
  2. Bring to a boil and simmer till the chicken is cooked.
  3. Strain and reserve the stock. Cool the chicken pieces and shred the meat.
  4. Mix turmeric and coriander powder with vinegar.
  5. Heat the oil and fry onion, garlic and ginger till fragrant.
  6. Add the paste and fry for few seconds.
  7. Add the stock and simmer for 8-10 minutes.
  8. Add the chicken meat. Add salt and pepper if needed.
  9. Simmer for 5 more minutes and remove from fire.
  10. Serve hot with a table spoon of cooked rice in each bowl.
