Ingredients:

• Sear or Pomfret slices (1/4 inch thick) – 1/2 kg
• Ginger-garlic paste – 2 tsp
• Chilli powder – 2 tsp or to taste
• Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
• Coriander powder – 1 tsp
• salt to taste
• Tamarind extract – 1 tbsp
• Rava or Rice flour for coating
• Oil to deep fry

Method:

  1. Wash the fish and pat dry.
  2. Mix ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, chilli powder, tamarind extract and smear it on the fish slices. Leave to marinate for 20-30 mins.
  3. Roll each slice in rice flour or rava.
  4. Deep fry in oil till done.
  5. Serve hot.
