Ingredients:

• Soybean – 1 cup, frozen
• Water or Milk – 1/2 cup
• Oil – 1 tbsp
• Mustard Seeds – 1/4 tsp
• Green chillies – 2
• Curry leaves – 5
• Cardamom – 1
• Cinnamon – 1″
• Cloves – 3
• Ginger – 1/2 inch
• Garlic – 1 Clove
• Onion – 1 (medium size), finely chopped
• Capsicum – 1 (medium size), finely chopped
• Tomato – 1 (medium size), finely chopped
• Coriander leaves – One bunch
• salt to taste

Method:

  1. Put frozen soyabeans in 1/2 cup water or milk.
  2. Add 1 green chilli and a pinch of salt.
  3. Cook this in a pressure cooker till the soyabeans become soft.
  4. After removing from pressure cooker, crush lightly with your fingers.
  5. Take oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, green chilli and curry leaves.
  6. Saute for a few minutes.
  7. Add cardamom, cinnamon, cloves powder, ginger, garlic paste and saute it for few more minutes.
  8. Add onions and fry till they turn light brown.
  9. Add capsicum and let it fry for some time.
  10. Add tomato, close the plate and leave for a few minutes till it becomes soft like puree.
  11. Add the cooked and crushed soyabean and salt.
  12. Let it boil for a few minutes.
  13. Garnish with coriander leaves.
