Ingredients:
• 1/2 kg – urad dhal (soaked 1-2 hours)
• Red Chillies – 2, cut
• Ginger – small piece
• Green chillies – 3, cut
• Salt to taste
• Curry leaves – a few
• Oil for deep frying
Method:
- Wash and grind the urad dal to a thick paste.
- While grinding add green chillies, red chillies and ginger.
- Mix in the curry leaves and salt.
- Meanwhile, heat oil in a kadai to deep fry the vadas.
- Once the oil is heated, form small balls fro the batter and drop into the kadai.
- Fry on medium heat until light brown.
- Drain and serve hot with chutney.
