Ingredients:
• 2 cups – yam, cubed and cooked with Turmeric powder
• 1/2 cup – frozen Methi leaves, crushed
• 4 tbsp – gram flour
• 3 tbsp – Rice flour
• 1 tbsp – Corn flour
• 3 – Garlic cloves, crushed
• 1 tsp – Fennel seed powder
• 1 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• Salt – to taste
• Oil – for deep frying
Method:
- Mix the cooked yam, crushed methi leaves, gram flour, rice flour, corn flour, crushed garlic, fennel seed powder, red chilli powder and salt in a bowl.
- Sprinkle some water and mix everything well until the vegetables are well coated with the flour.
- Heat oil for deep frying.
- Into the hot oil, gently drop the flour-coated yam pieces one by one.
- Fry until they turn golden brown.
- Drain the excess oil on a paper towel and serve immediately.
