Ingredients:

• 1 cup – Whole Wheat flour
• 1/2 cup – rolled oats
• 1/4 cup – Barley flour
• 1/4 cup – Quinoa flour
• 1/4 cup – Grapefruit juice
• 1 tsp – Grapefruit zest
• 1/4 cup – Butter
• 1 tsp – Vanilla extract
• 1/2 cup – Sugar
• 1/2 tsp – Baking powder
• 1/2 tsp – Baking soda
• 100 g – Chocolate bar (chopped as small chunks)

Method:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degree F. Sieve the flours with baking soda and baking powder.
  2. Add the rolled oats and chopped chocolate chunks to the flour. Keep aside.
  3. Beat together the butter and sugar until they turn soft.
  4. Add the grapefruit zest, vanilla extract and grapefruit juice. Mix everything well.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and turn everything into a slightly sticky but stiff dough.
  6. Scoop out enough dough. Arrange them over a greased baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until they turned golden brown.
