Ingredients:
• 2 cups – of basmati Rice (or any other raw Rice)
• 1 cup – ground Coconut paste
• 4 – Cloves
• 4 – Cardamoms
• 2 pieces – Cinnamon
• 2 – Bay Leaves
• 4 – Green chillies (slit lengthwise)
• 1 tsp – chilli powder
• 2 tsp – ginger-garlic paste
• 1 tsp – Turmeric powder
• Salt to taste
• 3 tbsp – oil or Ghee
• 2 – Onions (sliced finely)
• 1 tsp – coriander powder
Method:
- Heat the oil or ghee in a vessel or rice cooker.
- Add onions, bay leaves, ginger garlic paste, green chillies and whole spices, and saute for a few minutes.
- Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder, salt, washed rice, coconut paste and 4 cups of water and cook on low heat till the rice is done.
