
Ingredients:
• Masoor dal – 1 cup
• Onion, sliced – 1
• Juice of 1/2 Lime
• Garlic and Ginger paste – 1 tsp
• Red Chillies (ground paste) – 1 tsp
• Salt to taste
• Oil to fry
Method:
- Wash and soak dal.
- Heat oil and saute onions.
- Add the remaining ingredients (except lime juice) and saute them.
- Add dal and fry for a while. Cover with sufficient water.
- Add salt and simmer till dal is cooked and dry. Remove from fire.
- Add lime juice, and garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
- Serve as side dish for chapatis.
