Ingredients:
• 1 cup – basmati Rice
• 1/2 cup – frozen peas
• 2 (1 inch sticks) – Cinnamon
• 5 – Cloves
• 1/2 tsp – Jeera
• 1 – Bay Leaf
• 1 or 2 – Green chillies
• 1/2 cup – onions, chopped
• Cilantro for garnishing
• 2 tbsp – ghee(clarified butter)
• 1 tbsp – oil
Method:
- Rinse and soak basmati rice in water for 15 minutes. Heat oil and ghee in a pan. Temper cloves, cinnamon, bay leaf and jeera.
- When they crackle, add onions and green chillies.
- Fry till onions turn golden brown.
- Throw in peas and fry for a minute and take off heat.
- For 1 cup of rice, add 2 cups of water, fried onions and peas, salt and cook in the rice cooker.
