Ingredients:
• 1 cup – skimmed Milk
• 1/4 cup – skimmed Milk powder
• 1/4 cup – cocoa powder
• 3/4 cup – sugarite/Sugarfree
• 1/2 cup – toasted Wheat bran
• 1/4 cup – puffed Rice crispies
• 4-5 drops – vanilla essence
• 2 tbsp – Butter
Method:
- Mix the cocoa and skimmed milk powder together.
- Add 1/2 cup of skimmed milk and dissolve the powders in it to make a smooth paste.
- Place butter and the sugar substitute in a non-stick pan. Stir on low heat until it melts.
- Add the remaining skimmed milk and bring to boil.
- Add the prepared paste, gradually pouring it while gently stirring the mixture until a very soft lump is formed. The mixture should leave the sides of the pan easily.
- Add vanilla essence, rice crispies and half the wheat bran.
- Take off the flame and continue mixing until the mixture can be held in the hand.
- Roll into small balls between the palms.
- Roll the balls in the remaining bran until they are coated all over.
- Refrigerate on a sheet of butter paper.
- Store in an air-tight container in a refrigerator.
