
Ingredients:
• brown chick peas (chana) – 100 gm
• Sweet Potatoes – 300 gm
• oil – 3 tbsp
• Mustard Seeds – 1 tsp
• green chilies – 3, finely chopped
• Asafoetida – ½ tsp
• Curry leaves – few
• Jaggery – 2 tbsp, powdered
• grated Coconut – ½ cup
• salt to taste
Method:
- Soak chana overnight in water.
- Drain, add fresh water and cook till soft.
- Cut sweet potatoes into big pieces, cook till soft.
- Peel and mash lightly.
- Heat oil in a kadai. Add mustard.
- When it splutters, add green chili, asafetida and curry leaves.
- After few seconds, add chana with just 3-4 table spoons of cooking liquid.
- Add Sweet potato, salt, jaggery and grated coconut.
- Mix well, cover and leave on a low flame for 2-3 minutes.
- Place some filling on chapatti or paratha, roll up and serve.
