Ingredients:

• 10-12 – Karela (Kakarakai) medium size
• 50 gms- roasted gram(putnalu)
• 50 gms- roasted groundnut
• 150 gms- Idly karampodi
• 5 gms- curry leaf Powder
• A pinch – Haldi
• Salt as per taste
• A pinch – Pepper Powder
• Oil to Fry

Method:

  1. Powder gram and groundnut.
  2. Add idly karam podi, curry leaf powder.
  3. Mix all the powders in a plate adding salt and haldi.
  4. Cut the kakarakai from the middle and slit it.
  5. Remove seeds and stuff with the prepared powder.
  6. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard and let it splutter.
  7. Add the stufffed karela into the pan and deep fry till the karela turns to golden brown colur.
  8. Enjoy with rice and rasam.
