Ingredients:

• Milk – 500 ml
• Sugar – 1/2 cup
• Green Cardamom – 5
• Bay Leaves – 2
• Ghee – 4 tbsp
• Saffron – 1 pinch
• Rose water – 6 drops
• Basmati Rice – 1/2 cup

Method:

  1. Wash the rice, drain and fry in a tbsp of ghee for 2 mins.
  2. In a deep pan, heat another tbsp of ghee and add the basmati rice, cardamoms, and bay leaves.
  3. Fry for 5 minutes.
  4. Add milk and keep stirring.
  5. Bring to a boil and add sugar.
  6. Keep stirring until the sugar dissolves in the milk.
  7. Boil for 2 mins.
  8. Add saffron and rose water.
  9. Keep covered for 30 mins.
  10. Cool and serve.
