Ingredients:

• 1 tsp – Baking powder
• 1/2 ounce – Brandy
• 200g – Butter
• 1 tbsp – Cardamom powder
• 10 – eggs
• 250g – Flour, Gram/Channa Atta
• 5g – Ginger preserve
• 3 tbsp – Milk
• 50g – Plums, large
• 100g – Rava/Sooji
• 1 tbsp – Rose water
• 500g – Sugar

Method:

  1. Clean and cut all the plums and almonds into small bits.
  2. Wipe them and dip them in dry flour and remove.
  3. Cream the butter and sugar and keep aside.
  4. Separate the whites and yolks of the eggs and beat well.
  5. Now add the beaten yolks to the butter and sugar cream.
  6. Then mix the sooji and flour gradually to this mixture.
  7. Add Baking powder, cardamon powder, milk and rose water
  8. Now add the beaten whites slowly and mix well. Then add the plums and almonds.
  9. Line the tin with buttered paper and pour the cake mixture up to three quarters of the tin.
  10. Bake in an oven until the skewer comes out clean.
