
Ingredients:
• 1 cup – tur dal
• 1 cup – Fenugreek leaves, chopped finely
• 2 – green chillies, slit lengthwise
• 2 tsp – chilli powder
• 1 tsp – coriander powder
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 2 – tomatoes, chopped
• 1 – onion, chopped
• 1 tsp – crushed Garlic
• Salt to taste
Method:
- Wash the dal and cook it along with the fenugreek leaves, tomato, chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and onion with enough water in a pressure cooker
- When done open the pressure cooker, add salt and some more water and mash well
- In another pan, heat oil splutter the mustard seeds
- Add the broken red chillies and mashed garlic and fry for some time
- Pour over the cooked dal and fenugreek
- Serve with rice
