Ingredients:

• 1 bunch – collard greens
• 1 tbsp – oil
• Salt to taste
• 1/2 tsp – Hing
• 1-2 – Green chillies
• 1/4 tsp – Ver (optional)

Method:

  1. Wash, clean and cut the greens into pieces.
  2. In the meantime, boil 2-3 cups of water in a pressure cooker.
  3. Add salt and hing to the boiling water.
  4. Add the collard greens slowly, stirring at the same time.
  5. When you see it boiling again, close the lid and pressure cook it till you hear 3-4 whistles (10 mins minimum).
  6. Remove the lid right away by putting the cooker under running water. Then open the lid and put the cooker back on the flame. Let it come to a boil again.
  7. Add the green chillies to it.
  8. Transfer it to a bowl. Sprinkle the ver on it and serve with rice.
