Ingredients:

• 2 cups – Urad Dal batter
• 1 cup – Rice batter
• Salt to taste
• 1 – Green chilli
• 1 tsp – ginger, chopped
• 1/2 tsp – asafetida
• Oil for frying

Method:

  1. Mix urad dal batter and rice batter well in a vessel
  2. Chop the green chilli and add it to the batter along with salt, hing and ginger and mix well
  3. Heat oil in a pan, take small quantity of batter in a hand and drop it in oil. Drop 5 to 6 vadai in the oil
  4. Fry it till the vadai turns golden brown colour.
  5. Repeat the same for rest of the batter
  6. Killu vadai is ready to serve hot.
