Ingredients:

• Old fashioned Quaker Oatmeal – 2 cups
• Urad Dal – 1 cup
• Chana dal – 1/2 cup
• Moong dal – 1/2 cup
• Methi – 1/2 tsp
• Ginger paste – 1 tsp
• Green chillies – 4 to 6

Method:

  1. Soak all the ingredients for 4-5 hrs and grind into a smooth paste.
  2. Let it ferment overnight. Then stir the fermented batter well.
  3. Heat a thick, flat griddle, preferably non-stick, until a few drops of water sprinkled on it sizzle and evaporate quickly.
  4. Reduce the flame, pour about 1/2 cup of batter on it and spread quickly with the back of a ladle in concentric circles to a thin pancake.
  5. Increase the flame to medium and cook till the under side is golden brown.
  6. Serve hot with chutney or sambhar.
