Ingredients:
• 1/2 kg – sausages
• 1.5 cups – sifted flour
• 1/2 cup – Butter
• 1/2 cup – Cream cheese
• 1/2 tsp – salt
• mustard to taste
• 1 Egg yolk
• 1 tbsp – Milk
• Poppy Seeds
Method:
- Cream butter with cream cheese and salt.
- Add the sifted flour.
- Form into a ball and chill for 15 minutes.
- Boil the sausages and cool.
- Roll pastry on a lightly floured plastic sheet into a rectangle and cut into strips.
- Pat a dab of mustard on each sausage.
- Roll each sausage in a strip of pastry.
- Place on a greased baking tray, making sure that the seam of the pastry is on the underside.
- Brush each with 1 egg yolk beaten with 1 tbsp. milk.
- Sprinkle lightly toasted poppy seeds on the top of each roll up.
- Bake at 200 degrees C for about 10-12 minutes. Serve hot.
