Ingredients:

• 125 g -unsalted Butter
• 175 g- black treacle
• 175 g -self raising flour
• 175 g -oatmeal
• 125 g -muscavado
• 150 ml- Milk
• 2 tsp- ground Ginger
• 1- medium Egg

Method:

  1. Preheat oven at 160 degree C. Grease a baking mould. Sieve flour and ginger powder together.
  2. Heat milk and butter till it has melted.
  3. Allow mixture to cool.
  4. Add sugar and egg in the cooled mixture.
  5. Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
  6. Pour into greased cake tin and bake for about 1 hour.
  7. Allow to cool before serving.
