Ingredients:

• 250 g – cottage cheese/paneer cubes
• 2-3 Tomatoes pureed
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1 tsp – chilli powder
• 1/2 tsp – cumin powder
• 1/2 tsp – coriander powder
• 1/2 tsp – Garam Masala powder
• 1 cup – Milk
• 1/4 tsp – Sugar
• salt
• 2-3 tbsp – oil
• To be ground to fine paste
• 20- Almonds blanched and skinned
• 1- Onion
• 3- whole Dried red chillies
• 6-7 -garlic Cloves
• 1 inch – Ginger

Method:

  1. Marinate the paneer cubes with turmeric powder, 1/2 tsp chilli powder and salt. Keep aside for a while.
  2. Grind all the ingredients into a fine paste and keep aside.
  3. Heat oil in a pan and carefully toss the marinated paneer cubes for a minute or two.
  4. Drain the paneer onto an absorbent paper. Reserve the remaining oil.
  5. Heat the oil and saute the ground paste in it till the raw smell goes.
  6. Add the remaining chilli powder, garam masala powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and tomato puree. Stir till the oil separates.
  7. Add the fried paneer cubes, milk, salt and sugar and stir well. When thick, switch off the heat. Garnish and serve hot with any Indian bread.
