Ingredients:

• 1 cup – shelled Green peas
• 1/2 cup – Ghee
• 5/4 litres – Milk
• 1 cup – Sugar
• 1 tbsp – Cardamom powder
• 25 – Pistachios
• 25 – sliced Raisins

Method:

  1. Boil green peas for five minutes. Refresh in cold water and grind to a fine paste.
  2. Heat ghee in a heavy bottomed pan and add green peas paste and cook for a few minutes, stirring constantly. Keep aside.
  3. Boil milk and add it to the cooked green peas paste.
  4. Cook on low heat for 20 minutes or till the milk is reduced to half.
  5. Add sugar cardamom powder, sliced pistachios and raisins.
  6. Cook for 8-10 minutes on low heat, stirring continuously till done.
  7. Serve chilled.
