Ingredients:
• 2 – Red jalapenos
• 1 – Onion
• 2 tbsp – Urad Dal
• 2-3 – Red Chillies
• 1 small piece- Tamarind
• 2.5 tsps – Oil
• 1/4 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• Salt to taste
• 2- 3 sprigs- Curry leaves.
Method:
- Heat oil in a pan and saute the urad dal, red chilli, roughly chopped onion and roughly chopped jalapenos until the dal turns golden brown.
- Remove and add the tamarind and salt. Let it cool.
- Now grind it in a mixer into a smooth paste by adding water.
- Add it to a bowl and temper with mustard seeds and curry leaves.
- Serve with hot idli / dosa.
