Ingredients:

• 4 – medium-sized eggs
• 2 cups – Sugar
• 2/3 cup – vegetable oil
• 4 squares – unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled
• 2 tsp – vanilla essence
• 1.25 cups – all-purpose flour
• 1 tsp – baking powder
• 1/2 tsp – salt
• 1 cup – chopped nuts

Method:

  1. Beat the eggs until thick and pale in colour.
  2. Gradually add the sugar and beat until it blends well.
  3. Stir in the oil, chocolate and vanilla essence.
  4. Combine the dry ingredients and add to the mixture. Blend well. Stir in the nuts.
  5. Spread butter in a 13x9x2 inch pan.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees F for 25-30 minutes.
  7. Allow time for cooling.
  8. Cut into 24 squares of 2-inch size. Serve with ice-cream and chocolate sauce.
