Ingredients:

• 1 lb – King fish, cut into medium-sized fillets
• 3/4 cup – grated Coconut
• 1/2 cup – coriander leaves, chopped
• 3-4 Cloves – Garlic
• 1 tsp – Cumin seeds
• 2 – Green chillies
• juice of 1 Lemon
• 1/4 cup – Curd
• salt to taste
• oil as required

Method:

  1. Marinade the fish with lemon juice and salt and keep aside for 40-45 minutes.
  2. In the meantime, put the grated coconut, chopped coriander, cumin seeds, garlic and chillies in a mixer grinder along with 2 tbsp of water and make a fine paste.
  3. In a bowl, add 1/2 cup of curd with a pinch of salt.
  4. After marinating the fish, remove the extra juice from the plate. Rub the fish pieces with curd and cover one side of the fillet with the coconut-coriander paste.
  5. Heat a tbsp of oil in a wide bottomed pan, add the fish pieces with the covered side down. Cover the other side with the coconut-coriander paste.
  6. Pan-fry for 3-4 minutes on each side on medium heat or until golden brown.
  7. Garnish with grated coconut and chopped coriander leaves.
  8. Serve hot with rice and curry of your choice.
