Ingredients:

• 2 cups – fine biscuit crumbs
• 1/4 cup – shortening
• 1/3 cup – Sugar
• 1/2 cup – Raisins
• 1/4 cup – Walnuts
• 2/3 cup – Milk
• 1 Egg
• 1 tsp – baking powder
• 1/4 tsp – salt
• 1 tsp – vanilla essence

Method:

  1. Cream together shortening, sugar and vanilla essence.
  2. Add egg yolk and beat well.
  3. Chop and stir in fruits and nuts.
  4. Mix in biscuit crumbs, baking powder and salt.
  5. Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk.
  6. Whip egg white until stiff and fold into the mixture.
  7. Spoon into greased custard cups 2/3 full and bake in mode oven for 25-30 mins.
