
Ingredients:
• 1/2 cup – rice ada
• 2.5 cups – milk
• 1/2 cup – water
• 1 tin – condensed milk
• 3 to 4 – elaichi (crush the seeds alone)
Method:
- Wash rice ada in cold water. Boil some water, take it off the heat, add the rice ada to it and keep aside for 15 mins. Drain the water.
- Boil 2.5 cups of milk and 1/2 cup water.
- Add rice ada to the boiling milk.
- Reduce the flame and cook till the colour of the milk starts to change – to light pink. (Also check that the ada is cooked well).
- Now pour condensed milk into it and cook for another 5 mins.
- If you want the palada to be sweeter, add some sugar.
- Sprinkle over some powdered elaichi and immediately remove from heat. Delicious palada is ready.
