Ingredients:
• 1 kg – Chicken in small pieces
• 5 – large chopped Onion
• 4 – large chopped Tomatoes
• 1 tbsp – chopped Garlic
• 1 tbsp – chopped Ginger
• 1 cup – grated Coconut
• 3 – Green chillies
• 1 tsp – coriander powder
• 1 tsp – cumin powder
• 2 tsp – chilli powder
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1.5 tsp – Garam Masala
• 3 – Cinnamon sticks
• 3 – Cardamom
• 6 – pepper Corn
• 6 – Cloves
• 2 – Bay Leaves
Method:
- Heat oil and add cinnamon, clove, pepper, cardamom and bay leaves.
- When they crackle, add chopped onion and fry till golden brown.
- Add tomatoes and fry for 5 min.
- Add ginger garlic and green chillies and stir.
- Add turmeric, coriander, cumin, chilli and garam masala powder. Fry till oil separates from masala.
- Add chicken and stir for 5 min.
- Add salt and little water. Cook for 7 to 8 mins.
- Now, add grated coconut and mix it.
- Keep on simmer (low fire) till chicken is cooked and the water is evaporated
- Add lots of chopped coriander leaves. Serve hot with chapatti or rotis.
