Ingredients:
• 1 cup – rava
• 1.5 cups – water
• 2 tbsp – Ghee
• 1 – small Onion
• 1 tsp – Urad Dal
• 2 tsp – gram dal
• 1-2 – Red Chillies
• 2 tsp – Butter
• Few Curry leaves
• 1 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• Few Cashew nuts and Raisins
Method:
- In a frying pan heat ghee. When hot, put mustard seeds, urad dal, gram dal, cashew nuts, raisins, red chillies, curry leaves and onions. Fry for 2-3 minutes, then add rava, fry till rava turns slightly pinkish.
- In another vessel, heat water, when water starts Boiled, add it to the rava mixture, stir constantly and let upma cook.
- After water dries, cover vessel for 2 minutes. Close the gas. Just before serving add butter.
