Ingredients:

• 2 green bananas/plantains
• 2 tsp – chilli powder
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1/2 tsp – cumin powder
• salt to taste
• oil for frying

Method:

  1. Peel and cut the green bananas into thin slices.
  2. Soak in salt water for about 10 minutes.
  3. Drain away the water and mix the banana slices with the chilli powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder and salt.
  4. Heat oil in a deep pan till smoky.
  5. Deep fry few of the banana slices at a time till they are golden brown.
  6. Serve as a side dish with rice and any curry or as a snack.
