Ingredients:

• 3 cups – Whole Wheat
• 2 cups – Sugar
• 2 cups – Ghee
• 1 cup – Almond flakes
• Food colour -orange (few drops)

Method:

  1. Soak whole wheat overnight.
  2. Next morning grind it with water and extract the milk. The ratio is (1 wheat milk:2 sugar:2 ghee)
  3. Let the milk stand for the whole day.
  4. Drain the supernatant.
  5. Measure the thick milk which has settled down.
  6. Heat a heavy bottomed kadai. Add the measured quantity of sugar add water till just above the level of sugar. Keep the fire in sim and start stirring till the sugar dissolves.
  7. Wait till you get a syrupy consistency.
  8. Then add the wheat milk stirring continuously till it blends well with the sugar. Then add ghee and colour.
  9. Keep stirring.
  10. Once the contents are cooked the ghee will star coming out at the edges.
  11. Add almond flakes, stir for a while.
