Ingredients:
• 5-7 – big crabs (washed thoroughly and cleaned)
• 1/2 – coconut, grated
• 1 tsp – ginger-garlic paste
• 1 – onion, chopped
• 2 tsp – Garam Masala
• 1 tbsp – Tomato chilli sauce
• 1 tsp – soy sauce
• Coriander leaves
• Salt, to taste
• 1/2 tsp – Sugar
• 1 tbsp – oil
Method:
- Heat the cleaned crabs on low heat till shells become orange in colour.
- Remove from heat and clean the underside, which will be black in colour.
- Retain the shells and fleshy part of the legs.
- Fry the grated coconut till dark brown in colour and oil is separated.
- Fry the chopped onions till light brown in a little oil. Add coriander powder, chilli powder and garam masala.
- Do not burn the mixture.
- Grind the fried mixture to a paste.
- Add salt, sugar, ginger garlic paste and water and boil for 1 minute till gravy consistency is attained.
- Add both sauces and mix well.
- Arrange the crabs in a greased dish.
- Spread gravy over the crabs and microwave on medium for 6 to 7 minutes.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
- Serve with rice, chapatti, paratha, etc.
