
Ingredients:
• 15 – Chicken pieces
• 1 cup – Yogurt
• 1 tbsp – Coriander powder
• Salt
• 2 – Whole spices (bay leaves, Cinnamon sticks, cloves, cardamom)
• 2 – Onions (chopped)
• 2 – Tomatoes (chopped finely)
• 1 tsp – Ginger paste
• 1 tsp – Garlic paste
• Salt
• 1/4 cup – Gingili oil
• To Grind:
• 5 – Dry Red Chillies
• 1 tsp – Cumin seeds
• 1 tsp – Fennel seeds
• 1 tsp – Peppercorns
• 1 tbsp – Poppy Seeds
• 10 – Shallots
• 1/4 cup – Grated Coconut
• 5 -Curry leaves
Method:
- Grind all the ingredients from the list to grind as fine thick paste and keep aside.
- Heat the gingili oil and fry the whole spices until they turn brown.
- Add immediately the chopped onions, chopped tomatoes, ginger-garlic paste and saute everything until the raw smell goes away.
- Now add the marinated chicken pieces and saute until the chicken pieces get half cooked.
- Now add the grounded paste and cook everything in simmer until the oil separates.
- Add enough water and cook everything until the chicken pieces get well cooked. Serve hot.
- Enjoy this delicious chicken kurma with rice and rotis.
