Ingredients:
• 500 g – Paneer (cottage cheese)
• few drops red colour
• 2 tbsp – Corn flour
• oil for deep frying
• For the Sauce:
• 2 to 3 tbsp – oil
• 1.5 tbsp – coarsely ground Garlic
• 2 to 3 tsp – soya sauce
• 2 tsp – white Vinegar
• 3 Green chillies (slit)
• 3 dry Red Chillies (broken)
• 1 Capsicum (cut into strips)
• pinch ajinomotto
• few drops red colour
• 1 cup – water
• 1 tsp – Corn flour dissolved in ½ cup water
Method:
- Cut the paneer into 1.5 cubes.
- Gently rub colour on the paneer cubes.
- Coat the paneer cubes with corn flour and deep-fry in hot oil till golden. Keep aside.
- For the sauce:
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Add garlic, green and red chillies.
- Saute for 2-3 mins.
- Add soya sauce, vinegar, ajinomoto and few drops of red colour.
- Add one cup water and bring it to a boil. Mix well.
- In a half cup water dissolve 1 tsp corn flour. Mix well.
- Ensure no lumps are formed.
- Add the corn flour solution to the sauce.
- Simmer for few minutes till the sauce begins to boil.
- Add the paneer pieces and capsicums.
- Simmer for few minutes till the sauce thickens.
- Serve hot immediately.
