Ingredients:

• 250 g – refined flour/maida
• 250 g – Butter
• 250 g – Sugar
• 4 eggs beaten
• 1 tsp – baking powder
• 2 tsp – vanilla essence
• 1/4 tsp – salt

Method:

  1. Mix butter, sugar and eggs and beat them well together.
  2. Sieve the flour with salt and baking powder. Fold into the butter mixture.
  3. Mix well.
  4. Then pour into a buttered and floured cake tin.
  5. Bake in a pre-heated oven for 35-40 mins.
