Ingredients:

• 1 – big Cauliflower cut into medium-sized florets
• 1 – onion, chopped
• 2 – tomatoes, chopped finely
• 1 tsp – chilli powder
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1/2 tsp – cumin powder
• 2 tbsp – oil
• a few Curry leaves
• salt to taste

Method:

  1. Wash and soak the cauliflower florets for an hour in warm salt water.
  2. Boil the florets in a little water for 5 minutes, then drain.
  3. Heat oil in a pan and saute the onion and curry leaves for a few minutes.
  4. Add the tomatoes, chilli powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder and salt. Cook on low heat until the tomatoes turn pulpy.
  5. Add the cauliflower florets and mix well.
  6. Fry on low heat for a few seconds, then turn off the heat.
  7. Serve as a side dish with dal and rice.
