Ingredients:

• 1 cup – gram dal
• 1 cup – cooked Rice
• 2 – Onions finely chopped
• 1 tsp – Cumin seed
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• Oil for frying
• For paste:
• 5 – Garlic pods
• 5 – pieces of Ginger
• 5 – Green chillies
• 2 tsp – coriander

Method:

  1. Make a smooth paste of the cooked rice with ginger, garlic, chillies, cumin seeds and turmeric.
  2. Mix the paste with gram flour, onion and coriander leaves. Shape into small balls.
  3. Heat oil on a low flame and deep fry till the bajiyas are golden brown.
  4. Serve hot with coriander or pudina chutney.
  5. Garnish with sliced onions.
