Ingredients:
• 1/2 cup – Sugar
• A few drops – green, yellow, red colour
• 2-3 drops – vanilla essence
Method:
- To make coloured sugar:
- Put 1/2 cup granulated sugar in small glass jar, with a tight lid.
- Add a few drops of green, yellow, red or desired colour to it.
- Add 2-3 drops vanilla essence.
- Close lid tight and shake the jar vigorously till the sugar is uniformly coated with the colour.
- To make iced leaves:
- Prepare 1 cup basic helping of coloured sugar and add the desired colour while beating.
- Pipe out mistletoe shaped leaves, berries, bells etc. on a clean wax paper and allow to dry and stiffen.
- Highlight the shades by applying a few thin strokes of edible colour-dipped brush.
- Lift and store carefully. Use them as decorations on cakes, puddings, etc when required.
