
Ingredients:
• 500 gms – Red Tomatoes
• 1 – Onion (finely chopped)
• 2 tsp – Ginger-garlic paste
• 1 tsp – Jeera and Mustard Seeds
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 3-4 – Green chillies
• 1 tsp – Red Chilly powder
• 1/2 tsp – Urad Dal and Methi seeds
• 2 tsp – Oil
• 1/2 tsp – Sambar powder
• Salt and Jaggery to taste
• Boondi – One cup
• Green Coriander (For garnishing )
Method:
- Clean and slice the tomatoes and cook for 15 mins. Keep aside.
- Take oil in a pan add mustard seeds, jeera, methi seeds and urad dal.
- Then add kadi patta, onion, green chilli paste, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder and cook for 2-3 mins under a lid.
- Now add the cooked tomatoes to the above preparation with sambhar powder, salt, 1 tbsp jaggery and 3 to 4 cups of water. Let it boil for 5 mins.
- Now the curry is ready. While serving add boondis and coriander. Serve hot with rice.
