Ingredients:

• 1 cup – moong dhal
• 1 cup – Cucumber
• Green chillies chopped
• 1/2 – Onion
• 1 – Tomatoes
• Coriander leaves chopped
• oil for seasoning
• 1/2 tsp – Jeera
• 1/2 tsp – mustard
• salt to taste
• 1- Lime
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder

Method:

  1. Pressure cook 1 cup dal.
  2. Cut cucumber into small long pieces and boil for a while.
  3. In a pan, add oil, jeera, mustard, green chillies.
  4. When it splutters, add sliced onion, tomatoes and fry well.
  5. Add to dal, sprinkle turmeric powder and salt to taste.
  6. Add lime juice, pinch of sugar and mix well.
  7. Serve with poori, roti, chapatti and rice.
