
Ingredients:
• Beetroot – 2
• Moong dal – 2 tbsp
• Salt – to taste
• Water – as needed
• Red Chilli powder- 1.5 tsp
• To grind: Grated Coconut – 3 tbsp
• Small Onion – a few
• Cumin – 1/4 tsp
• To temper: Oil – 1 tbsp
• Mustard Seeds – 1/2 tsp
• Urad Dal – 1/2 tsp
• Big Onion – 1
• Curry leaves – few
Method:
- Chop the beetroot into small pieces and pressure cook along with moong dal, red chilli powder, salt and water.
- Now grind the ingredients into a smooth paste, adding a little water.
- Splutter mustard seeds in oil in a pan and add the cooked beetroot mixture. Then add the ground coconut paste, saute well and cook.
