Ingredients:

• 200 gm – Red Millet flour
• 1 tbsp – fried Cashew nuts
• 1/2 cup – Coconut, grated
• 2 – Cardamoms
• 1 tsp – Sesame seeds
• Ghee as needed
• 50 gm – Jaggery
• Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Dissolve a little salt in water. Mix enough salt water in the flour till it looks like bread crumbs.
  2. Add the coconut, jaggery and sesame seeds. Mix well.
  3. Steam the puttu. When done, remove from the fire and cool.
  4. Break up nicely, add the cardamom powder and fried cashew nuts.
  5. Serve hot with melted ghee.
