Ingredients:

• 60 g – yam, cut into small pieces
• 1 – big Raw banana
• 1 tsp – pepper powder
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1 cup – water
• 1/2 – grated Coconut
• a pinch – Cumin seeds
• 10 g – Ghee
• 1 tbsp – Coconut oil
• 1/4 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• salt to taste

Method:

  1. Split the banana lengthwise into 3 pieces. Do not peel the skin. Cut it into small pieces.
  2. Boil yam and banana with pepper powder, turmeric powder and salt in 1 cup of water.
  3. Grind 1/4 quantity of grated coconut and cumin seeds together and add to it.
  4. Grind the remaining coconut and saute in a low flame till brown in colour. Keep aside.
  5. Season mustard seeds in ghee.
  6. Add the coconut oil, seasoned mustard seeds and the sauted coconut to the vegetable mixture. Mix well.
