
Ingredients:
• 1 no. – Capsicum (chopped)
• 1/2 no. – Onion (chopped)
• 1 tsp – besan/gram flour
• 1 tsp – Peanut powder
• 1/4 tsp – chilli powder
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1 tsp – cumin and coriander powders
• 2 tsp – Corn flour
• 1 tsp – rava
• Water
• Salt to taste
• Oil to fry
Method:
- Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan, add onion and capsicum.
- Fry till vegetables are tender. In a bowl, mix besan, chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin and coriander powders, peanut powder and salt.
- Add this dry mix to the pan and cook till the raw smell has disappeared.
- Allow to cool.
- In a bowl, mix corn flour, rava, salt and a pinch of turmeric and some water and prepare a batter.
- Make small balls of the capsicum onion mixture, dip in the batter prepared and fry till brown.
- Vadais are ready; serve with ketchup or pudina chutney.
