Ingredients:

• Mustard Seeds – 2 tsp
• Asafetida powder – 1/2 tsp
• Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
• Oil – 45 ml
• Ginger – 100 gm, peeled and chopped
• Green chillies – 20 gm, thinly sliced
• Salt – 20 gm
• Lime juice – 45 ml

Method:

  1. Powder mustard seeds and mix with asafoetida and turmeric powder.
  2. Heat the oil and add ginger and chillies.
  3. After few seconds add all the powders and mix well and remove from fire.
  4. Add salt. When the mixture cools, stir in the lime juice.
  5. Leave to mature for 24 hours at room temperature.
  6. Then transfer to clean jar and store in refrigerator.
