Ingredients:

• 8 – thin fish slices, pomfret, seer fish or any fleshy fish
• 4 tbsp – oil
• For the paste:
• 1 tbsp – Red Chilli powder
• 1/2 tsp – pepper powder
• 1 tsp – salt
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 2 tbsp – thick Ginger – Garlic paste
• 1 tbsp – Vinegar or 1 tbsp Lemon juice

Method:

  1. Wipe cleaned fish pieces with towel.
  2. Mix all the ingredients under “for paste” and apply this evenly on both the sides of fish pieces.
  3. Cover and keep aside for one hour.
  4. Heat 2 tbsp oil, arrange marinated fish pieces and fry on a medium to low heat until golden colour and crisp on both the sides.
  5. Sprinkle remaining 2 tbsp oil when turning other side.
  6. Serve hot.
