Ingredients:

• Suji – 2 cups
• Ghee – 2-3 cups
• Raisin – 1/4 cup
• Cashewnut – 1/4 cup
• Elaichi/Cardamom (green) – 4, powdered
• Sugar – 2 cups
• Banana – 1, mashed
• Saffron – a pinch
• Milk – as needed

Method:

  1. Mash the banana, mix saffron to it and leave aside.
  2. Roast the cashewnuts and raisins in ghee in a thick bottom pan.
  3. Add suji and sugar and mix thoroughly.
  4. Add a little milk to get the right consistency.
  5. Cook on low flame, making sure the suji does not stick to the sides of the pan.
  6. When the suji is well cooked, add the banana-saffron mixture and powdered cardamom and mix well.
  7. Serve hot or cold.
